TAIPEI, September 6, 2023. On August 28, the Judicial Yuan and the Taiwan Constitutional Court (TCC) welcomed the delegation led by German MP Thomas Heilmann. The delegation members include Former State Government Commissioner & CIO Mr. Ammar Alkassar, Director Stefan Samse of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Rule of Law Programme Asia, Regional Project Executive Ms. Susan Chan and Programme Manager Olivia Schlouch of KAS Rule of Law Programme Asia.
After a courtesy meeting with President HSU of the Judicial Yuan, the delegation participated in a short talk with Justices of the TCC and executives of the Judicial Yuan hosted by Vice President TSAI on the topic of digitalization and modernization of the judicial system. The delegation and participants from the Judicial Yuan and the TCC exchanged views and experience on how the judiciaries and policy makers perceived the demand and practicality of court digitalization, going paperless, application of AI in Germany, Singapore, EU, and Taiwan.
